Briefly about the Department of Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry
The Department was founded in the academic year 1958./59. when Odontology section of the School of Medicine was divided into five dental departments. First head of the Department of Dental Pathology was Professor Zdenko Njemirovskij. The name of the Department was changed into Department of Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry in 2006. Currently the following curricula are being taught at the department: Cariology, Restorative Dental Medicine, Endodontics, Introduction to Scientific Research and Basics of IT.
The teaching staff consists of 19 employees which are distinguished in teaching and professional activity. A number of scientific projects performed at the Department resulted with large number of original scientific publications in international journals with high impact factors. Employees of the Department received numerous domestic and international awards and acknowledgements.

Since 1992 Professor and director of the Department of Conservative Dentistry, Periodontology and Pediatric Dentistry, Hospital of the Ludwig–Maximilians, University of Munich, Germany. Recognized member of many different scientific societies (AOD – President 2009, IADR-CED – President 2008, VHZMK – President 2006, EFCD – President 2001, DGZ – President 1996). Visiting professor at School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb.
